A Family For Every Child                  March 2011

What a Day to be a Princess!

     11

Thanks to all our supporters, volunteers, donors and princesses for a very successful "Princess For a day" Event.

We had the pleasure of hosting 315 princesses on March 6th, 2011.  This fabulous event was held at our new home, the Valley River Inn.  Being at this new venue allowed us to host more princesses and do so in a very glamorous, princess way.  We can't thank the VRI and their wonderful staff enough for all their help and dedication to this event.

This is really a community effort, supported and made possible by many groups, volunteers and donors!  We hope you will enjoy a few images of this special day.

Thank you!

Favorite Princess Moments

My favorite moment (there were many to choose from) was how each little girl would be shaking and clutching their golden ticket as they approached registration. Their royal adult guest would always start with "we are a little early", but the girls were so excited that they could just not wait. One little girl responded when I asked "Princess, what is your name?", in a very sweet little voice she said, "Snow White", and her little friend next to her said "I am the Prince and the frog!"

One mom told me today that her daughter went home and recreated the whole "Princess" set for her teddy bears. Including too big of shoes, jewelry, bubbles, crowns, and lots of dresses to choose from.

------------------------------------------------------

It was our first year for the princess event. It was absolutely amazing! You all did a wonderful job. We will be attending for years to come and will be recruiting more families for this event as well. Thanks for all your hard work!

Sincerely,

Steve

I would like to thank each one of you for the wonderful opportunity to volunteer for the "Princess For A Day" event. My students were oozing gratitude and joy after serving at the function. I felt a sense of pride and wonderment with my students and the event. We will be there for you in the future for whatever you need.

Sincerely,

Ray

Today was such an amazing day for all the girls. I want to thank you for putting on such a wonderful event. I have a few dresses that would fit some teenagers and I would love to donate them for the next event. Also, I will be checking into becoming a foster parent.

Sincerely,

Debbie

I just wanted to let you know that we had a fabulous time at the Princess for a Day event! Wow! I was so impressed at how organized and much effort was put into each station of royal treatment! My daughter felt so special! Every child had such a smile on their face! I was so impressed and cannot wait until next year!

Please remember me when trying to find volunteers! I would love to be a part of this next year!

Thank you again so much! Everyone that helped in planning this event truly deserves a day of special treatment themselves!
