"Princess for a Day"

What: A Family for Every Child hosts the third annual "Princess for a Day" event, which is free for girls in foster care but also open to all girls in the community ages 2-18.

When: Sunday, March 6, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Where: The Valley River Inn, Eugene.

More info: Every girl is made to feel special at "Princess for a Day," where girls get the "royal treatment," which includes a full makeover, photo shoot, tea party, and a princess gown to keep. 200+ girls are expected to attend.

Every Girl Deserves To Be a Princess (If Not Just for a Day)

Springfield, Ore. March 3, 2011--Girls ages 2-18 are royally invited to become "Princesses for a Day," and admission is free for girls in foster care (with advanced registration at Last year this event drew nearly 200 girls, and 75% of them were in foster care. This year, A Family for Every Child hopes 300 princesses will make their royal debut for a day of finery and fun. 

When: Sunday March 6, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Where: The Valley River Inn, Eugene.

Cost: Free for girls in foster care. $50 for each non-foster girl and one royal (adult) guest, with the ticket price supporting the cost of a foster "princess" in the community.

What: Every girl will receive a princess gown she can take home, plus a crown and slippers. The "royal treatment" includes hair, nail and makeup styling, plus a tea party lunch and a special photo shoot. Each girl will receive a keepsake photo to remember the day forever.

Who: This event was created by A Family For Every Child, a Springfield, Ore.-based non-profit organization, and made possible by many local sponsors.
