Foundations Training

Oregon DHS Foundations Training Many counties within the state of Oregon offer a series of weekly 3-8 hour classes to fulfill the requirement for Foundations training in the State of Oregon.  Where there is public information available for a county, we have collected it into a page accessible from the county map or one of the county links below.  You should call one of the county contact numbers on those pages for further information about orientation and start dates. Christian Family Adoptions Christian Family Adoptions has scheduled weekend adoption "Foundations Training" (including foster parent training and special needs) for June 20, 2014 9am-5pm, June 21, 2014 8am-5pm, and June 28, 2014 8am-5pm. (Also scheduled for Sept. 26, 27, and Oct. 4, 2014). This Class meets the minimum Requirements for Oregon "Foundations Training". This class is free of charge and open to anyone who resides in Oregon. The CFA Vancouver office has a 50 person capacity training room. Space is limited, reservations required. Christian Family Adoption Christian Family Adoptions holds a monthly orientation class for all of the programs at their portland office. The class is free of charge and is open to anyone interested in their domestic programs. Foster Family Care Network Foster Family Care Network holds orientation and training for becoming an Oregon therapeutic foster care provider. It connects potential therapeutic foster care providers to specialized foster care programs. Each program is tailored to meet the specific needs of children in therapeutic foster care and we are looking for care providers who are ready for a challenge. Programs serve children suffering from histories of abuse and neglect; emotional, physical needs; and youth who are dealing with drug and alcohol issues.
