Hero for a Day is a special event taking place on Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 12-3pm. This year, it will be held at a new location at the Willamalane Center in Springfield, Oregon. This event allows foster children to be transformed into heroes for one special day. Hero for a Day is for children ages 2 to 18 and is a day filled with tons of fun activities designed to create not only an educational and fun experience for local children, but raise awareness about the foster care system. This event is free for children in foster care and $50 for community children.

We are gladly accepting donations all year long for this event. Donations may include capes, masks, costumes, jet packs, and other hero related costumes. We will gladly take gently used Halloween costumes or home made hero accessories as well. With your help we will make it possible for every child in the community feel like a hero for the day.
