NAFA's Family Splash Pool PartyKids Swimming


DATE: Saturday, April 30th
Time:  6:00 - 8:30 p.m. 
LOCATION: Dishman Community Center, 77 NE Knott Street in Portland.


Swim until 7:30 with snacks and fun crafts following the swim

Bring a healthy finger-food dish to share with all of the hungry children after swimming is done.

Cost:  Free for NAFA members -- that's a very good price for a fun evening with your family.

Pre-registration is required:  Send Carol an email at to reserve spots for your family.  Reservation deadline is Friday, April 22nd.

Strategies for Forming Strong Parent-Child Attachments

This session is part of the Great Expectations for Waiting Families program, but all families are welcome to attend.


Ally Burr-Harris, Ph.D, a clinical psychologist with The Children's Program, will be our speaker.  Come join other waiting and adoptive parents for this great evening.

NAFA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.  This year we are planning even more events, most of which are free to NAFA member families.  Our budgeted expenses have increased which means, more than ever, we need you to please consider a donation to NAFA.  We are a very frugral organization and you can be assured that your dollars will go toward events and programs that make a difference.  Send your check, made payable to NAFA to:  NAFA, PO Box 25355, Portland OR  97298-0355.

NAFA (Northwest Adoptive Families Association) is a non-profit, volunteer-driven support group for adoptive families and those interested in adoption. NAFA is actively involved in education, advocacy and support for its nearly four hundred member families located throughout Oregon and Washington. NAFA is comprised of adoption professionals, prospective adoptive families and members of the adoption triad: birth parents, adoptees and adoptive families.
