we are a family of 3, who live in the country and when the weather is good, are outdoors. We travel to Texas yearly to visit family and take a trip around the Lone-Star state. Have been to Hawaii and warm weather vacations, and disney and the islands are in the cards for another visit. I came from a family of 10 children, while ignolia is from a family of 3 kids. My family lives in nearby and a brother in Washington state. While Ignolia's family comes for visits yearly. We speak both English & Spanish and would welcome brother sister siblings or a girl.My family is of many backgrounds & ethnicities. We wakeup in the morning to have breakfast. I or Ignolia brings Joey to school. And after casing and delivering my mail by 2pm, I pickup Joey at 3 and take him to choir, scouts, or basketball, track or soccer. We eat dinner together as a family with either of us parents cooking.Afterward we cleanup and do homework from school or work. At 8 we get ready for bed and read a story before going to sleep. On weekends we go to church and go out to the movies, eat out, to the park or pool or recline outside on evenings when the weather is good. We frequent the Oregon coast for the day or weekend. Also when the weather is good, I get to play quarterback again in the backyard. Also pitch and hit fly balls.
We live in a rural community of Forest Grove, which is growing with an influx of different ethnicity. We have Latino festivals, and a Dutch sausage festival in November. The schools have specialty in music, choir, agriculture, sports, clubs, band,an pre college credits. The town has different churches and is home to Pacific University. We have had the blessing of raising Joey as parents in teaching, coaching,as advisor, chaperone, and protector. It is also good to play with kids which keeps us young. Have been to parenting classes, Ignolia teaches new parent training to Spanish speaking adults. Have had numerous children in our care babysitting nieces & nephews.
We have many supports of friends and family around us. Many have children of their own. This year, my cousins have adopted a baby and 3 year old, in which they have asked us about our experience and they got the courage and positive feedback to stick to it, for it may take a few times to get a match. We are committed to raise another in our home. The first time in 2007 went really fast. Joey was 3 when we adopted him. The next child will be around his age of 12. We are looking for a girl this time, but will be open for siblings of both boy and girl combo. We have been reading up and having kids in our home.
