Family Description

We would like to adopt a sibling group of no particular ages, and will accept from age 0 up to 16 depending on the dynamics of the children. We feel we can accommodate a sibling group of any size. We prefer to adopt a child of Hispanic, Black, Native american, Biracial, Mixed, Caucasian or any ethnic background. We are open to children with many, special needs. We do not mind having contact with the child\'s biological family(by email, by phone or by mail ). We do not mind having continuing contact with the child\'s former foster parents, by email or by phone for our child to transition. . Our names are Stanley and Linda. I Linda currently 52 years old and was born in Cincinnati. My Husband is 57 years old and was born in Cincinnati as well, and we are living in Ohio. We have minor children that consists of mainly sibling groups. Choreography is what I love to do with some of my free time. I teach my children dance routines and sometimes they perform in front of other family members and or at church. Singing is another one of my hobbies. I love to sing with my children and have karaoke with them. Movies!! Stanley loves to watch family movies and we do too! He loves playing outdoor sports such as badminton and basketball with the children. We have a basketball court made into the ground near our drive way for at home play. Our children love to do all of what I mentioned of Stanley and myself, but of their own, they love to read books!! They love to write stories, create short plays, draw, color, make bracelets and they even want to plant a garden this year of watermelons, strawberries and more. We have plenty of yard space to do so. We are such a close family and we love one another. Our children are very loving and they are so grateful. In todays time, gratefulness is lacking, but not with our children. I am a stay-at-home parent and have a flexible work schedule. My Husband works full-time and has a fixed work schedule. Every human being, no matter the age, disability or not, has rights. Has the right to be heard, respected, and valued, and as for our house hold, that is what we do for one another. We believe in God and we have Christian beliefs. We attend a church that has activities for every age level, young and old. All Lord Of The Rings movies with it's Hobbit sequels are some of our all time favorite movies to watch . Our children love playing outdoors! From simple games such as hop-scotch, find the hidden objects, jump rope, Frisbee, kick ball, base ball, foot ball, basket ball are just a few things we all do. We also play video games such as Wii, Xbox and more. Even the Plug & Play games for the little one. At the parks we play Tennis and all of the park related activities. When we gather, we usually gather in Kitchen or Family Living room. When the children are at school, and my husband at works, I use that free time to manage business such as making doctors appointments, finances, maintaining the house hold, and some outdoor activities, talking with friends, some quiet time to reflect and spending time together. We take time to travel together as a family as well. We live in the State of Kentucky. Northern Kentucky to be exact. Also called the Tri-state where Kentucky, Ohio and Indian meet. Our home is a single family home on over 1 acre of land. We live in a Suburban neighborhood, yet with a hint of county. lol We are friends with our neighbors. So far, we only have fish, but plan to get a micro tea cup Maltese. There are 3 main schools. Elementary K- 5. Junior High 6-8 and High School 9-12. Neighborhood parks, out door skating, walking trails, neighborhood shopping centers and more are close to home or within our neighborhood. Movie theaters and many restaurants are also with in reach. Sing alongs. Depending on the age my child would have some personal time to play with blocks or toys of their choosing. Dancing for exercise. Coloring and crafts. Some errands with me when I have to do them. School based activities/ extracurricular. Bike riding. Out door sports. Dance classes. Cheerleading. YMCA. riding bikes. Walking trails. Having cared for over 35 children in the foster care and adoption combined over many years is where our experience in caring for special needs children, comes from. We have raised 8 adult children and we have been married 20 years plus. I Linda, came from an under privileged background such as many of the children that have come into care. I had no father in my own life growing up, so I am understanding of children whom have experienced loss. Nevertheless, I am still a fun, young at heart mother, who also teaches her children and spend lots of time with them. My children respect me and we respect them as well. Stanley has a great sense of humor. He is flexible and to the point, yet firm in a delicate way with speech. He can make the children laugh, especially when he tries to dance. lol We are ready for yet another sibling group. There are no special skills, just experience of dealing with so many children over a time. We will have to start our day a little earlier, and add extra time to our already daily routines. Cook extra, CPI. non violent communication techniques. Mufti ethnicity. The training helps to keep things fresh in the mind as to how to deal with some situations, but actual living situations seem to be the best life trainings. Yes. We have post adoption services, clinics and mental heal services facilities near by. No father than 20 minutes away.As for myself, I am a stay at home mother, while Stanley Works. Our children love to share their adoption experiences with new siblings and sometimes retelling their story with each other. My mother. Mother in law. Sisters. Sister in law. Home Study Requests

Providing a stable and loving family for children, is our motivation. Children bring so much life with them. There are so many children who need forever families, and sometime there are so many families who may want that one child or sibling group, but it can not happen that way. Only one family can be selected for a child or sibling group. Nevertheless, it gives us joy to help redirect children's lives, whom have been disrupted often times within their own biological family, but then to see the transition of what they often choose to do with their own lives, once having became adults is just amazing to us. We will continue to help children in this way for as long as we can.
