Family Description

Hello everyone. We are Jason and Christy. We are hoping for a Caucasian girl 6 years or younger. We are open to children with special needs such as diabetes. Mom is am a nurse so she has experience with such things. We are praying for a child that feels we are the right fit for them. We want her to be excited to come join us and have loads of fun. We honestly do have loads of fun. We like to do spontaneous and new things. A example of this would be today we went to Downtown Savannah Georgia. We were walking around (looking for a comic book shop) and what do we find? A splash park in the middle of city center. The boys looked at us and we said go for it. So off they went (under our mindful eye of course) splashing around in the water, laughing and being kids. This is very typical of our family. We are the family that will be taking a walk and stop to look at a bird, the sky, a photograph or something else that catches our eyes. We love learning about our heritage and will continue that with our new little one. We are hoping to keep as many previous relationships as we can for the child as we firmly believe you can not have to many people love a child. We do however believe it would need to be a positive relationship for the child. We have a fun, loud, happy family. Typically you can find dad Jason doing something artistic. He is often found building models, playing legos with our two youngest sons or transformers. Mom Christy likes to drag the crew to do educational things like museums, nature preserves, aquariums or zoos. Mom also loves to photograph everything. We also enjoy going to the beach, to the pool, for walks, bike rides, playing legos, watching movies and talking. Our boys always have something interesting to say. Mom Christy will often say how much she loves their little brains because they think of the most amazing things. We like taking drives to see new things and have new adventures. Our boys would say they love amusement parks. They just went to Carowinds this past week and couldn't stop talking about the 'air time' they got on the rides. We moved from Ohio to South Carolina 11 months ago. In this time we have made amazing friends and we love it here. Our community has many activities such as festivals almost every weekend and a farmers market every Thursday. We live in a very diverse cultural area. We plan to keep her culture in mind in all that we do. The school system we have here is by far the best we have ever seen. I could go on and on about how good it is. From the activities and clubs to the STEM programs and school of choice. We feel any child would excel in this school system and we as parents would make sure they did by helping and monitoring their school work and being their advocate. We are very involved with our children. We have three boys as I mentioned previously. We have never adopted or fostered. We will say we have been planning on doing it since we had our first child almost 14 yrs ago. This is not a new thing we thought of. We work with children everyday in our jobs as a school nurse and middle school art teacher. Dad Jason has been the den leader in cub scouts and the assistant for our sons soccer team. We love children. As previously stated we just moved to South Carolina 11 months ago but we will say we have a huge support network of friends. We also have a very tight knit extended family. So much so our families are hoping to move from Ohio to South Carolina in the next 3 yrs or so. We go home to Ohio often. We feel family is very important. We are committed to adopting a little girl. We are not naive about this at all. We completely understand this is a huge adjustment for our new little girl, our three boys and for us. We have always known this is how we would grow our family and that our daughter was waiting for us. We want the child to have stability and show them unconditional, unwavering love and support. We have no doubt their will be challenges and we have no doubt it will only make us stronger.

Preference Description

We would like to adopt a spunky, smart, creative, out-going and motivated child. We want a child with opinions and a sense of humor.
