Family Description

We would like to adopt a child between the ages of 3 and 13 inclusive. We are open to boys or girls. We feel we can accommodate a sibling group of up to 3 kids. We prefer to adopt a child of Caucasian, Hispanic, Black, Asian, Native american or Pacific islander ethnic background. We are open to children with many, many special needs. In general, We are looking to adopt a child or up to 3 sibs between the ages of 3-13 any ethnic background. We are willing to accept moderate or medically correctable conditions, a child with special needs such as PTSD, attachment, learning, or truama background. Our names are Heather Cody and Scott Olson. I am currently 36 years old. My partner is currently 40 years old. We do not yet have any children but we do have a dog named Keyser who loves daily walks. I work full-time for The Center for Psychological Services as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and have a flexible work schedule. My partner works full-time for Parker Junior High School as a Middle School Teacher . We live in the State of Illinois. Our home is a single family home. We live in a Suburban neighborhood. Schools are all within walking distance. We have a wonderful niece who is almost 3. Scott is a teacher for 6th graders and Heather has been a School Counselor for almost 10 years. Heather currently works as a counselor with children and adolescents on all types of life issues. We live in the neighborhood that Heather grew up in; therefore, there are a ton of people all within bicycle distance! This picture isn't even all of the cousins! We have always known we have wanted to adopt. It has never been a question to us. We can't wait to meet you.
