MICHIGAN CHILD
Nicholas, who goes by Nick, is a sensitive, active, helpful and affectionate young boy. He is fun-loving and enjoys playing games and sports. Nick describes himself as “funny, talkative, easy going, sporty, nice and someone who likes to joke around.” He enjoys singing, playing video games, soccer and basketball. Nick can be very encouraging, caring and empathic with his peers. He likes being around animals and likes to travel.
Nick is a registered member of a Michigan tribe and preference is for a tribal adoptive family. An adoptive family will need to maintain contact with Nick's birth mother and his brother. Non-tribal families must be willing to be involved with the tribe and actively maintain Nick’s Native American culture. The Tribe also feels that it would be beneficial for Nick if he were to be adopted by a two-parent family that includes at least one male in the home, or a single male parent. Nick notes he would like to have a family who lives near the country or on a farm. He would like to have an adoptive family that has animals, is active and would want to travel. Nick is very excited to have a nice dad. Nick would benefit from a family that can provide him love and support now and into his future. The family must be willing to seek out any support services that would be beneficial to his needs and help him reach his fullest potential. |
