SIBLING GROUP This ready-made family is sure to bring lots of joy to a fortunate adoptive family. Joshua, Janessa, Josiah and Stevie are bright, energetic and will certainly keep your family busy. There is never an uneventful day with this sibling group. They will fill your hearts with wonder and your face with a smile. An active and skillful family to help them learn to be kids is just what they need. Joshua and Janessa love school and are performing at grade level. Josiah enjoys going to school and is expected to start Head Start in the fall. The children are legally free. Joshua’s warm smile and bright eyes will melt your heart. He desires to be a part of a family where he can learn, grow and be loved. He is a young man with quick intellect and fast feet. He wants to be on the go and has great athleticism that needs to be cultivated and encouraged. Joshua pitched for his Little League team and enjoys boxing and sparring with his foster dad. Joshua needs a nurturing and enriching environment in order for him to reach his full potential. He needs to have a male role model who does not disappear from family’s life. He needs a parent who can be active and teach and coach him in playing sports. Janessa is a loving, kind and helpful child. She wants to help care for her siblings and please the adults in her life. She is described as having a heart of gold. She is always eager to help in the kitchen when meals are prepared for the family. When challenges arise in life she will struggle emotionally. In those moments she needs reassurance, compassion and support. Janessa has great balance when she dances and does gymnastics. She will look in the crowd for her fans and will smile back at those supporting her. Both Joshua and Janessa respond well to talking about situations and their mistakes when it comes to disciplinary issues. They are great kids! Josiah is a charming and caring little boy. He has a big personality and enjoys making others smile and laugh. He’s an intelligent little guy with a large vocabulary. Those closest to Josiah have an enduring nickname for him and he’ll smile and blush when he hears someone call him “Jo Jo”. Toddler Stevie is fearless when climbing on furniture or toy towers at the park. No obstacle is too big for her when she has her sights set on your cell phone or a favorite toy. ‘No’ is not an answer she accepts easily; however, she does respond to redirection. Stevie has a strong attachment and bond with her siblings and loves being the baby of the foursome. Joshua, Janessa, Josiah and Stevie would do best in a family with a strong and substantial community/family support. They will be a great addition to their adoptive family, as they learn what it means to be a part of a family.
