WASHINGTON Child
Gabby has a beautiful heart and will make your life more interesting than you ever imagined.
Raising Gabby and will be a delightful experience for adoptive parents as having Gabby in your home will mean endless adventure, excitement, and love. A trip to the Family Fun Center – a favorite outing – will let you play rounds of mini golf with Gabby, race her around the go-cart track, and end the night with some pizza, all the while bonding. She is sure to remember these family evenings for years to come! Taking Gabby to the family barbeque to meet all her cousins, grandparents, aunts, and uncles will be exciting and treasured by her as she would do well with having lots of family around. She is so polite and cute, you’ll want to show off your adopted child to all your relatives. Summer vacation road trips, the classic American adventure, would also give adoptive parents a terrific way to engage and bond with these Gabby.
Gabby has experienced a great deal of trauma and neglect in her life time, and because of that she has some delays that her adoptive parents will need to help her over come. She has been working to overcome some challenging behaviors that have resulted from her difficult past, and has been making improvements. Gabby has increased her skills in understanding cause and effect, attaching emotionally, and being accountable to parental expectations and guidance.
Having a mother in her life would give Gabby a role-model to look up to. A mother-daughter relationship that is long-lasting will be cherished by Gabby, giving her someone to rely on for security and someone to confide in, which will immensely benefit Gabby in controlling her impulsive actions. An attentive, gentle mother who could lead Gabby into womanhood would be a priceless gift, for both her and her adoptive mother. Love is what is needed in Gabby’s life, and an adoptive mother or parents who readily provide that through hugs or a hand on her shoulder will show Gabby how much she is cared for. As she has experienced hurt and betrayal in her life, she will benefit from parents who understand how past negative parental relationships may cause her to verbally act out and tell lies when she feels uncared for. However, adoptive parents who can look past these behaviors and help her to realize she is wanted and worthy of parents will make all the difference to her.
Gabby has a brother, Tony. It is encouraged that they continue to have a some kind of a relationship with him in the future.. Gabby also has a wonderful bond with her biological grandmother and hope that adoptive parents will allow her to continue this beneficial attachment. It is important that adoptive parents understand the impact parental loss, neglect, and abandonment have on children, especially considering what it can do to their understanding of relationships. Being connected to her Native American heritage is desirable to Gabby and she hopes that adoptive parents will honor her culture and want to participate in it with them.
