Event Information

Thank you to everyone involved!

This year was a major success in our Princess for a Day history books! We had nearly 350 Princesses across the land gallivant throughout the royal castle, going room to room to complete their Princess transformation. The energy was high, the smiles were wide, and EVERYONE played a major part in this event.

We want to give an extra big thanks to all of our Room Leads:

Delaney Barrett & Cheryl Graham in the Hair & Makeup Room
Rebecca Morgan in the Dress & Accessory Room
Diane Batenhorst in the Red Carpet & Princess Corridor
Diana Mortensen & Beverly Wheeler in the Tea Party Room

And thank you to Princess Perfection for providing all of the amazing characters for the event!

The Royal Treatment

  • The princesses will each begin their journey in the Princess Salon where their personal Makeover Team will assist them with choosing their tiara followed by hair, make-up and nail services. Don't forget to ask about our Glitter Station!
  • Next, the princesses will move to the Royal Dressing Boutique where our Princess Stylists will help them select a gown and slippers and of course, accessories!
  • Each princess will commemorate the event with a personal photo session with one of our professional photographers and receive one photo quality print as a keepsake.
  • Finally, each princess will be announced from the red carpet as they make their regal entrance into the Royal Tea Party room where refreshments will be served and dancing will commence!  Keep an eye out... there may be Disney Princesses among us!
  • Every princess will get to take home their gown, slippers, and crown!

Thank you so much to all of the amazing people from the University of Oregon ROTC! We appreciate that you come through for us every year!

*Each princess chaperone is required to stay with their child(ren) the entire event.  Children may never be left unattended.

Foster children are granted free admission. General admission for non-foster princesses is $50.00 per child.

ALL children are welcome!  Advanced registration is required for all children.  Each registered child must be chaperoned by their King or Queen (parent/adult representative). Due to limited space, we can only accommodate one King or Queen  per registered princess, so please leave all wicked step-sisters and forest creatures at home.

About MAP

What Is The Matching Assistance Program?

Family Matching Made Easy

MAP is a free membership program that provides nationwide families with access to additional child listings in order to help support home study approved families who are seeking to adopt from foster care. MAP works alongside you, your adoption worker, and children’s social workers during the “matching phase of the adoption process, connecting waiting families with children.

What is required to join MAP?

A current home study that approves your family to adopt from foster care. We accept foster-to-adopt-home studies.

An open mind towards children who are:

  • Over the age of 7,
  • Part of a sibling group,
  • A member of a racial or ethnic minority
  • Who have some level of emotional, behavioral, developmental, physical, and/or medical needs.

What services does MAP provide families?

MAP provides families with a first-rate child search platform to pinpoint potential matches, and connect families with their social workers. From there, MAP allows families to submit their home study,  pictures, and share an in depth biography with children's social workers. Because adoption can be an arduous process, we also offer a private online support group. Additionally, there is an Additional Services Program that allows families to connect with an Adoption Specialist.

And More!

During the sign up process, families have the opportunity to create their own family profile to send to social workers. The family profile includes a brief biography with pictures and information about the family and what they can offer a foster child. The family biography allows the family to show off their personality and make a more personal connection with a social worker. Home studies tend to be very similar, but the family biography is a way for the family to show off how unique they are and make them stand out. The family biography is sent out with every home study submission a family makes through our site.

Giving Tuesday 2018

Giving Tuesday 2018

  • WHEN
    November 27, 2018

Event Information

#GivingTuesday is a day to give back. It is a day to recognize all that we have, and all that we can share. This day is about making a difference. Everyone has something they can give. During this time of Thanksgiving and Holiday Cheer, we ask that you help, by simply giving back. It takes two minutes. Two minutes to change the world. What you donate today will make a difference in your community. What you give will change the life of a child. It is almost the holiday season, and every child deserves a home for the holidays. So help make that a reality by giving today.

Princess for a Day 2018

Thank You!

What an amazing day it was! It was our best year yet. 370 princesses walked down thered carpet this year, and spent the day dancing to their favorite Disney songs with their favorite Disney princesses.

We could not have done it without our amazing donors, volunteers, and princess. This event is only possible because of the amazing community we live in. We asked and YOU delivered! We had over 1200 dresses, 650 tiaras, 550 pairs of shoes, all of it donated by YOU! Local businesses donated all of the food provided at the event. We had 110+ volunteers who came out to make this day possible. Every year we are blessed by the amazing people that work to transform our children into princesses!
