Calling all Heroes! This event allows foster children and community children alike to be transformed into the heroes we know them to be.  Hero For A Day is for children ages 2 to 18 and is a day filled with tons of fun activities designed to create an educational and fun experience for all of our heroes while we raise awareness about our foster care system and the children in it waiting for their forever families. Children interact with their favorite comic book heroes, while also meeting real life heroes like first responders, firefighters, and military personnel. Stay tuned for more information about Hero For a Day 2022, including a date, registration link, and volunteer information!

Sponsor Hero for a Day

On behalf of A Family for Every Child we would like to invite you to partner with us for our annual “Hero for a Day” event, supporting foster children in search of their forever families.  Hero for a Day is an opportunity for children to be transformed in to Heroes and spend time with heroes from our community, and those from the pages of their favorite comic books.

Children who attend also meet real life heroes, like firefighters, doctors, police, and soldiers. Professionals from around the community in a variety of professions come to show the kids what they do, and offer insights for children into what they can be when they grow up. Kids and their families will get to talk with local first responders around our community, learn how to draw themselves in Hero form, meet their favorite superheroes and hear stories about saving the day, all from the comforts of their home. Hero for a Day helps further our mission by raising awareness about foster care in Oregon. Please stay tuned for more information about sponsoring Hero For a Day 2022, including a sponsorship form. In the meantime, if you would like to make a donation or sponsor this event, please contact our events team at 541-343-2856, or at events@afamilyforeverychild.org.
