Sponsor Hero for a Day

Children who attend meet firefighters, police, and real soldiers. Professionals from around the community, including doctors, dog trainers, dentists and more, come to show the kids what they do, and offer insights for children into what they can be when they grow up. At this hands-on event kids build rockets, learn how to play lacrosse, and even sit in a fire truck! The children leave this event with their very own hero costume, and some new toys. The goal for this day is for all children to leave having learned that heroes come in all shapes, and that they too can be a hero. Hero for a Day helps further our mission by raising awareness about foster care in Oregon. We believe that this year’s Hero for a Day will be our best yet, and together we can further our goal of finding homes for every waiting child.
