Thank you all!
For 2020, A Home for the Holidays went virtual!
With 2020 being the bizarre and unprecedented year that it has been, the annual A Home for the Holidays Gala & Auction went online and so many of our friends and supporters and adoption families went online and showed up for the kids and their community.
We want to give a HUGE thank you to Robb Holloway and Sid Voorhees for running the show and making the hour-long broadcast such a delight. We also thank Dave at Zion Ideas Productions for producing the show and making this all possible. And we thank the Boy Scouts of Eugene for hosting our small team and giving us the space to run the show.
We want to thank this year's A Home for the Holidays sponsors for continuing to support us and show up for our youth. We also want to thank every business and person who contributed items and time to our auction. Even through these troubling times, so many of you were able to support us and our mission, and we couldn't be more grateful.
Stay tuned for a full wrap up and see how this year turned out. We also have Giving Tuesday coming up on December 1st, a day meant to give back to your community and support the causes you love.

Thank you all so much for your support of our annual gala, Home Is Where The Heart Is. Each year we look forward to the opportunity to meet in person and thank you personally for your ongoing support of foster children. However, above all else A Family For Every Child prioritizes the health and safety of our community. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and the recent spread of the Omicron variant, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Home Is Where The Heart Is gala.
While the physical event may be canceled, you can still participate in some of the fun online. Beginning on February 10, 2022, you can access A Family For Every Child’s online silent auction here. There, you can bid on dozens of items, packages, and experiences, all while knowing that your contributions go directly towards finding foster children their forever families. Between “buy it now” pricing options, traditional silent auction bidding, and shipping options, there’s sure to be something for everyone.
As many of you know, our annual gala is AFFEC’s largest fundraiser of the year, and accounts for nearly 25% of our operating budget. This year, we were counting on raising our goal of $150,000 to continue our work placing foster children into permanent, loving, adoptive homes. We need your help more than ever to continue the work we do in our community. Please consider donating to A Family For Every Child today.
If you would like to make a donation or sponsor the event, please do so here. A donation of $500 or more qualifies for a complimentary gift of wine and a dessert, to be delivered to a Eugene/Springfield address during business hours on February 14th. Donations must be made by 2/7/22 to qualify for this offer. After you make a qualifying donation, you will receive an email with a link to indicate your delivery address and dietary restrictions.
Thank you for your ongoing support of foster children.
