A Home for The Holidays Volunteer

Volunteers are the heart of A Family for Every Child and we could not serve the families and children without their continued support, dedication and hard work. Our annual event would be nothing without our amazing volunteers, from set up, to auction coordination, to photos at the event, we appreciate everything our volunteers do to help. A Home for the Holidays

On behalf of A Family for Every Child and our A Home For The Holidays Auction, we would like to take this opportunity to invite you to partner with us to support this worthwhile event benefiting foster children in search of their forever families. Individual tickets are only $100.00 for a delicious meal and fine wine! Check out our registration form for all the ways you can be involved!

Join us in support of our ninth annual ‘A Home for the Holidays’ dinner and auction. This ‘Winter Wonderland’ themed night consists of dinner, auction packages both silent and live, our famous dessert dash, an impressive wine wall selection, and a beautiful holiday celebration.

Along with dozens of dedicated event volunteers, we are asking you to support us by donating and/or attending our Annual Event. “A Home for the Holidays” is responsible for a large portion of our operating budget for the year. These funds allow us to oversee the vital programs that we administer, such as Mentoring, Family Preservation, Family Finding, and Matching Assistance.

Attend, volunteer, sponsor or donate. There are many ways to get involved. If you are not able to attend, you are still welcome to sponsor a table and have your logo/name displayed at our event. You can also donate items to our silent and oral auctions. We are looking for tickets to shows or games, get-a-ways and much more. Contact our event team for more information on what items you can donate.

With your help, we are making a positive and tangible impact in the lives of waiting foster children. We understand that you have many opportunities to support worthwhile programs in our community and appreciate your consideration.

Although you feel like you’re miles away, Valley River Inn is conveniently located in Eugene, Oregon, in the heart of the city. The Willamette River, Eugene’s largest shopping mall, and miles of scenic bike paths are just outside the doors. The hotel is just minutes away from downtown, the Eugene Airport, the Lane Event and Sports Center, and the University of Oregon.

Directions From I-5

From I-5 to exit 194b (I-105 west), then take second exit marked #1 Delta Hwy/Santa Clara – Junction City. Merge to the right lane and take the 1st exit to Valley River Center. Get into the left lane as you are coming over the overpass. At the bottom of the overpass there is a four-way lighted intersection: turn left onto Valley River Way. Follow to the end, on the left.

Directions From Airport

Leaving the airport terminal, turn right onto Greenhill road. At the four-way stop turn left onto Airport road.

Follow to the end and turn right onto Highway 99. Go about 1.5 miles to Beltline road east (right hand on-ramp) follow Beltline east to the Delta Highway exit. Exit off of Delta Highway, take the Valley River Center Exit. Take the center lane at the exit. There will be a four- way lighted intersection. Go straight through onto Valley River Way and follow to the end, on the left.

Area Transportation


Valley River Inn is conveniently located on the Lane Transit District bus line. There is also complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport. Rental cars are also available at the airport, or you may arrange for one through the concierge. The concierge is also happy to help you with taxicabs and other transportation needs.

Besides being a great destination hotel, Valley River Inn is also the perfect stop-over point when traveling up and down the I-5 highway. We’re just a two-hour drive south of Portland, three hours north of Ashland (home of the popular Shakespeare Festival), and four hours north of the California border.
