As we prepare for our Annual Princess for a Day event, we rely on our community for their support and donations and in this case – Princess style clothing and accessories. The Eugene Police Department has been a long-time supporter of our organization and events and one of the ways they show their support is by hosting one of our Princess for a Day Donation Drop Boxes. KEZI joined our efforts this morning by spotlighting our Princess for a Day donation drop box (see video) located at the Eugene Police Department.

Run for the Kids in the Eugene Marathon! Sign up to run the 5K, Half Marathon or the Marathon, and you will run for free! All you have to do is help fundraise for AFFEC. Donations made through the fundraising efforts of our Eugene Marathon/Half Marathon/5K team members will help us continue the important work we do here in Lane County and nationwide to support children currently in the foster care system – by connecting them with mentors, providing fun and encouraging activities, and helping children and parents through the matching and adoption process to create Forever Families.

Featured Family: Katie and Daniel

We are an active, social, happy, Christian family so very excited about the possibility of adopting soon! We adopted our third child Josiah (5) through a private adoption four years ago. We love him to the moon and back and are so excited for the opportunity to love more children. Daniel owns and runs his own successful business out of the home while Katie stays home and home schools our children. Katie is a pediatric RN with multiple years experience who has a passion for helping women and children. She practices currently as a volunteer Doula. We love to have people over to our home multiple times weekly during which we enjoy having dinners together, for which we all enjoy cooking, or just to play games or visiting.
