We love to play with our three dogs (Winston, Chloe, and Kermit). We enjoy cooking, and watching a favorite TV show after dinner. Scott goes golfing after work a couple days during the week, and he also enjoys spending time in the garden in the evenings during spring and summer. Nick enjoys reading, writing, doing puzzles, and playing video games.
Almost every Saturday we get breakfast and coffee, and listen to a podcast by the river while we eat. When the weather is nice, we bring the dogs and walk them by the river after breakfast.
Holidays are a huge tradition in our life! We love dressing up for Halloween, and go all out on our decorations during Christmas. We cannot wait to share these traditions with our children and let them bring their own special traditions to our holidays.
We live in a small town in Lane County. Our neighborhood is quiet, but close to a park with a grassy area and basketball courts. We live down the street from the local elementary school and high school, as well as Lane County Head Start.
Our home was built in 1910 and has lots of charm and character. We have been renovating and updating it since we moved in 6 years ago, and are so proud of the home we have made! The home is 2 stories with 4 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. We live on a nearly .25 acre lot with a big backyard where we love playing with our dogs and playing outdoor games with friends and family. We also have a vegetable garden, and Scott has a small rose garden of his own!
We have a tight-knit neighborhood and are very close to most of our neighbors. They cannot wait to see kids joining our family!
Scott: I am the oldest of 4 siblings (they are 5-7 years younger than me). I learned to cook and care for them at a very young age. My youngest sister considers me as a father figure to this day. I have also been around my friends children, a few of whom are special needs, their entire lives. Many of them consider me Uncle Scotty, and I am the godfather to my best friends 9-year-old daughter.
Nick: I grew up around young children, my grandma was a kindergarten teacher and I frequently helped with her class. In college, I volunteered as an elementary school TA and have always loved helping children learn, especially reading!
