Family Description
I am a single male and live alone. I live in a two-story single-family home located in the Portland metropolitan area. My home has five bedrooms, three full size bathrooms and a medium size backyard. I live in a suburban community that has access to highly rated schools. The City of Portland is very close, and my area has good public transportation options.
Preference Description
I am willing to adopt a male from 7 to 17 years old. I am open to adopting siblings too. I will adopt a child with mild to moderate physical/ medical disabilities.
The Marquez- Family Profile
A single child or child with siblings, ages: 7-17yrs old. Mild to moderate medical conditions to include trauma. Race, prefer white or white Hispanic. I will 100% honor the child's unique difference and previous connections/relationships as long as they are in the best interest of the child's development.
Introduction
In my spare time, I like to work out, spend time outdoors and visit local shops and eateries in my area. I also like to watch movies and read books. My favorite genre is science fiction. Traveling is another passion of mine. I have traveled to many different places around the world, and I hope to continue traveling with my future child
Home and Community
I live in a very nice community located in Beaverton near Portland, Oregon. The schools are highly rated. My neighborhood is rapidly growing with many new families moving in. There are many activities available for children in my community.
Parenting Experience
I have a younger brother and my job requires interaction with the local community which include children. I also host international students to better educate myself on how to be a good parent. As a result of attending our state mandated foster care/adoption training, I am informed about caring for children who have experienced trauma, and how to transition a child from foster care to a forever home.
Support
My family, although they live in California, are a large part of my life. I work with a great police department that supports family members of officers. My benefits provide medical, counseling and dental services I am also a veteran and get additional benefits from the Department of Veteran's Affairs. My child will also receive additional health benefits and will receive college tuition along with a monthly stipend for attending a public university, community college, or vocational training program.
Motivation to Adopt
Adoption has always been something I wanted to pursue, and I believe I can provide a good home. I will forever be a part of their life. Having a family is very important for a child and I hope to provide that and I promise that I will provide the best home possible.
