Linda has 4 biological children from a previous marriage, 3 of them are adults, they all reside in Connecticut. One of Linda's daughters past away at age 8. We adopted 2 boys together from Connecticut. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats. We are looking to adopt a child or sibling group ages from birth to age 10. We are open to any race. We would consider some type of openness with cards , pictures or letters with the birth family. We walk our children to school(weather permitting) then take care of appointments, shopping etc. then go pick up the children from school. We like to go camping, fishing, to amusement parks and zoos, and we go to the movies, if nice out we go to the park. We spend time with our older children and grandkids. We love to get together for holidays and birthdays or just have cookouts on weekends. We have a lot of fun. Our home has 4 bedrooms, plus 5 other rooms. We have a nice yard with plenty of room to run, ride bikes, play basketball and explore. Our neighborhood is in the city and is very quiet. The elementary, middle and high schools are within walking distance from our home and they are very nice there. We have movies, and other places to go for children to enjoy. The hospitals are only about 1- 3 miles away. We also have many specialist located near our home. When my daughter past away we had our 3 other children ages 6, 12 and 13 and we had to work with them thru the grieving of their sister passing away. We have fostered in Connecticut for 2 years until we adopted our sons in November of 2007. Then we relocated to Maine. In May 2016 we moved back to Connecticut. We have had experience with ADD, PTSD, ADHD, encopresis, and wetting the bed. We have also had experience with severe anxiety disorder, nightmares, sleep problems, plus other issues that children may have. We have family members who reside in Maine and our adult children who reside in CT. All of our children support our decision to add to our family thru adoption. Our family has always accepted the children in our home. If needed there is a lot of support services in our town. We are very committed to making another child or children feel welcomed, loved and accepted as we did with our 2 sons we adopted. We will work with them all the way with anything they need. We will let them know they can trust us and talk to us about anything that is bothering them. We will advocate for them at school and the community. We also like to get involved with the school with chaperoning field trips and helping out. We keep in touch with the teachers so we know when our children may need help with school work.
