We live in the State of New York. Our home is an apartment. We live in a Suburban neighborhood. We are friends with our neighbors. We have one or more dogs , one or more cats and some other animals .
In addition to helping our children connect with other children in the area and help them with their schoolwork, we would play with them (inside and outside), play music with them, watch TV and movies, play games, play with the pets, go on trips to fun activities in the community they are interested in, and read with them or to them (depending on the age of the child). Basically, we want to meet all of their needs, including enjoying life as much as possible. In our apartment complex we have a playground, basketball court, and swimming pool. There is also a park adjacent to our apartment complex where we frequently take our dog for walks. We belong to our local YMCA which is 5 minutes from our home. This gym has a pool with children's activities as well as play areas and activities designed for kids of all ages. In the greater Rochester area there are a wide variety of activities including parks, beaches, farmers markets (with animals and activities for kids), a Museum of Play and Science Center, movie theaters (including a drive-in). In the summer we typically we go to the Renaissance Fair which we have taken our nephew and niece to as they love it. There can be something for anyone in the Rochester area. We are blessed with a wide variety of available activities including sports, nature, academic-style clubs, museums, dance, music, art, movies, and much more. We would help our children find what they are interests are and find activities that peak their interest. The Rochester area has some of the top-rated schools in the state. There are also a number of programs and separate schools for children with a wide variety of needs. Our local elementary school is directly across from our apartment complex. We attend our church regularly and have a small group that we meet with regularly from our church.
